A new branch of Calyx has sprung into hemp oil paintings. Currently the oil paint is made with refined hemp oil and natural earth pigments. A blend 55% 45% blend of hemp and organic cotton (respectively) are used for the canvas. Hemp fiberboard/plywood is used. The resin used to bind the hemp stalk comes from the bark of a eucalyptus tree.
