Calyx Clothing (CC) is run by a Geologist working on his masters thesis in Humboldt County, CA. It is a clothing company committed to using an alternative source of fabric that deviates from large scale agricultural production of cotton and associated textiles. We have to move away from this large scale monoculture and move back into localized form of agriculture. We offer a variety of men's and women's clothing apparel that is geared towards our oriented goals of sustailability with our earth.
In conjunction with offering high quality organic cotton, hemp and hemp blend clothes, CC is also committed to the preservation of the integrity that industrial hemp has re-gained over the past decade. The Calyx is a hub for a number of proactive orgainzations like the Hemp Industries Association (HIA), Vote Hemp and the North American Industrial Hemp Council (NAIHC) just to name a few. Our goal is to provide a website where a person can access these organizations that together will provide a rock solid foundation for substantiating the legitimacy behind industrial hemp.

Calyx Clothing is dedicated to the preservation of the environment as well as each individuals civil liberties. For centuries there have been cultures around the world that have used Cannabis in a variety of ways and for a number of different reasons. The founding fathers of our country such as Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin have rooted Cannabis into the history of the United States. These founding fathers saw the potential of this unique plant. Understanding the facts of how this plant became illegal will help the American people better understand how special interest groups have such a stronghold in society in general. This is not just about re-legalizing a plant. This is about promoting awareness to a growing populous who are interested in protecting their rights, their environment and ultimately controlling their own destiny. The ultimate politcal goal of CC is to unite a growing majority by putting aside their subtle differences to unite under a common goal of environmental awareness. We understand that change cannot happen overnight. It is best utilized when current companies, invested in various markets, realize that there is this budding prospective to incorporate hemp as a part of their business. Only then will we see change come to fruition.
